Shep Lewis is a native of Richmond, Virginia, he graduated from Christchurch School in 1996. He earned a B.A. in history from the University of the South-Sewanee in 2000 and his M.A. in history from the University of Mississippi. Since September 2006, he has taught Middle School history, served as a 7th grade boys’ advisor, and coached soccer, basketball, and lacrosse at Collegiate School. He has enjoyed the Camp Virginia experience, first as a camper and later as a counselor, for 24 summers. “Camp Virginia has done more for me than I can ever do for it,” said Lewis. “The values, relationships, and traditions leave lasting impressions on young people. All are interwoven into the idea of them enjoying camp and becoming better people along the way. Each summer offers the opportunity to renew friendships and make new ones. I look forward to each and every summer and can’t wait for the start of the summer of 2012.”
